Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal (born March 6, 1972), often nicknamed "Shaq", is an American retired NBA player and rapper who is currently a sports analyst on the television program Inside the NBA on TNT along with Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith since January 2012. He played at the center position. He has also made media appearances outside of his basketball career.
He is considered to be one of the greatest players in NBA history. Standing at 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) tall and weighing 325 pounds (147 kg), he was one of the heaviest players to ever play in the NBA. O'Neal played for six teams throughout his 19-year career and won four championships: three with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2000 -2002 (being MVP for all three) and one with the Miami Heat in 2006.
